WUM organizes anti-drug awareness seminar/walk
A seminar and walk was organized by Women University Mardan to raise awareness
among the students about the harms of drugs.
Addressing the seminar, Ahmad Bin Tariq, Project Officer (DDR and PR) highlighted the
importance of awareness among youth and students about the harm of using drugs,
keeping in view the rising trend of young people of drugs in the country.
In her message on the occasion, Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Dr Ghazala
Yasmeen said everyone should play an effective role, to eradicate drug abuse because
it is harmful for all, especially the younger generation.
Meanwhile, a walk was also organized at Bakhshali Campus of the university during
which participants carried banners inscribed with awareness messages, and chanted
slogans against the use of drugs.
