6th Senate Meeting of Women University Mardan Conducted at Governor House

The 6th Senate Meeting of Women University Mardan was convened today at the Governor House, presided over by the Honourable Pro Chancellor, Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Mina Khan Afridi. The meeting was attended by notable officials, including Mr. Abdus Salam, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Mardan and nominee of the Speaker, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly; Special Secretary, Higher Education Department (HED); Additional Secretary, Establishment Department; Additional Secretary, Finance Department; the nominee of the Higher Education Commission (HEC); and the *Honourable Vice Chancellor Women University Mardan, Prof. Dr. Safia Ahmad.*

The university senior administration was represented by Registrar, Mr. Adnan Ahmad; Treasurer, Mr. Fahim; Dr. Farah Khan, Head of the Department of Education; Director Planning and Development, Mr. Adnan Masood; Auditor, Mr. Ishfaq Khan; Director Works, Engr. Nasir Hussain; and Assistant Registrar, Mr. Pir Shakeel. The budget was presented by Honourable Vice Chancellor before house.

During the meeting, the administration successfully defended the university’s budget for the financial year 2024-25. The Pro Chancellor commended the Vice Chancellor and administration for maintaining a consistent record of presenting a surplus budget for the past seven years. He further recognized Women University Mardan as one of the most financially sustainable institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Safia Ahmad, also expressed her appreciation for the administration’s diligent efforts, which have contributed to the university’s standing among the most sustainable institutions in the province. *The university administration reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining this level of performance in the coming years, Inshallah.
