Department Overview
The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Women University Mardan is committed to producing highly qualified nutrition professionals equipped with scientific knowledge, practical skills, and ethical values to promote health and well-being at individual and community levels. The department offers a dynamic learning environment that integrates classroom teaching, laboratory training, research, and community-based nutrition interventions.
Our curriculum is designed in accordance with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) guidelines and addresses contemporary nutritional challenges, including clinical nutrition, public health nutrition, food science, therapeutic diets, maternal and child nutrition, food safety, and lifestyle-related diseases. Students are encouraged to develop critical thinking, research aptitude, and professional competence through evidence-based learning and practical experiences.
The department strives to contribute to national health priorities by preparing graduates capable of serving in hospitals, healthcare institutions, academia, research organizations, the food industry, public health agencies, and international organizations.
