Human Nutrition and Dietetics Department Conducts Free Nutrition Assessment Camp at WUM
The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics at the Women University Multan (WUM) successfully organized a Free Nutrition Assessment Camp in the university’s main hall. This impactful initiative was designed to provide hands-on training opportunities and to foster professional competencies among Human Nutrition students, particularly those enrolled in the MPhil program.
The event aimed to bridge academic learning with real-world practice by engaging students in practical health assessments. MPhil students took an active role in conducting comprehensive nutritional status evaluations for both students and faculty members of the university. Their assessments included gathering anthropometric data, dietary history, and lifestyle factors to better understand the nutritional needs of the participants.
A special contribution to the camp was made by Nutrifactor, who partnered in the event to perform Nutrition-Focused Physical Examinations (NFPE), with particular attention to hair and skin health. Additionally, Nutrifactor provided valuable screenings for vital parameters, including blood pressure and blood glucose level checks, contributing to the overall health awareness and preventive care of attendees.
The department expresses its gratitude to Nutrifactor for their collaboration and to all the faculty and students who participated in making this camp a success. Events like this not only enhance student learning but also promote a culture of health and wellness on campus.
