Dr. Touseef Rehan Secures Nomination for Prestigious Patenting and Prototyping Support Grant

Dr. Touseef Rehan, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Women University Mardan, has been nominated for the Grant for Patenting and Prototyping Support Program under the project “Building STI Capacity in Emerging Technologies” by the Directorate General of Science and Technology, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A dedicated team of students—Ms. Riffat Ismail, Ms. Maryam Qazi, and Ms. Ambreen Shafique—played a pivotal role in achieving this milestone. Their efforts significantly contributed to the successful nomination for this prestigious grant.

The project focuses on the development of a medical diagnostic device for detecting epileptic seizures, utilizing cutting-edge technologies. This innovative device is expected to bring transformative changes to the field of healthcare, particularly in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy.
