
Bright Future Ahead: Massive Scholarship Distribution of Rs. 9 Million at Women University Mardan in the year 2024-2025.
Women University Mardan (WUM) held its Scholarship Award Ceremony 2024–2025, distributing over PKR 9 million among 90 deserving students through four key scholarship programs.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Qibla Ayaz, former Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology, who highlighted the critical role of women’s education in national development. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana praised students’ achievements and acknowledged the support of donors and faculty. Scholarships awarded included:
• Scotland Pakistan Scholarship: PKR 6.13 million to 37 BS and MPhil students.
• District Zakat Office Scholarship: PKR 1.26 million to 21 students.
• Momina Cheema Foundation Scholarship: PKR 330,000 initially disbursed to 11 students, with a pledged total of PKR 1.32 million.
• Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal Scholarship: PKR 371,629 to 21 students.
Special recognition was given to Ms. Irum Amin and Mr. Jehanzeb Khan for their support under Pakistan Scotland Scholarship 2024-2025 and District Zakat Office Mardan Scholarship. Special acknowledgement is given to Dr. Ambreen Ayub, Convener of the Scholarship Committee and Scholarship Committee members for their exceptional leadership whose coordination, and dedication played a pivotal role to ensure a transparent, merit-based, and timely scholarship disbursement process. The efforts of the committee ensured a transparent, merit-based selection process.
The ceremony concluded with cheques and certificate distributions, reinforcing WUM’s commitment to inclusive education and women’s empowerment.
