
Department of Zoology Hosts Seminar on “Fisheries Resources and Disruptive Technologies in Pakistan”
The Department of Zoology at Women University Mardan successfully organized a seminar titled “Fisheries Resources and Disruptive Technologies in Pakistan.” The session focused on exploring how innovative and emerging technologies can revolutionize Pakistan’s fisheries sector, making it more sustainable and productive.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Muhammad Zubair Anjum, Assistant Professor at Pir Meher Ali Shah-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, delivered an insightful presentation on the role of modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Biofloc systems, and Biotechnology in transforming aquaculture and fisheries management. He highlighted how these advancements can significantly enhance sustainability, efficiency, and long-term growth within the sector.
The seminar was attended by faculty members and students, creating an engaging environment for meaningful discussions on the future of fisheries, sustainable practices, and the integration of disruptive technologies in aquaculture.
