
Tree Plantation Drive Held at Women University Mardan
Women University Mardan organized a tree plantation drive to promote environmental protection and raise awareness about the importance of a green and healthy environment.
The campaign was led by the Deputy Commissioner Mardan, Mr. Wasif Rehman, who formally inaugurated the drive by planting a sapling on the university lawn. District Forest Officer Mr. Muheed Ullah Dawar, Sub-Divisional Officer Mr. Shakir Ullah, and Country Development Officer Mr. Longeen Khan also actively participated in the plantation activity.
From the university administration, Director ORIC Ms. Haleema Ikram, Assistant Registrar Mr. Pir Shakeel, and Administration Officer Mr. Fazal Moez contributed by planting various types of plants across the campus.
While addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of tree plantation in combating climate change and maintaining ecological balance. He appreciated the efforts of Women University Mardan and encouraged students to actively participate in such positive initiatives.
The officials emphasized that tree plantation is a shared responsibility and such efforts will continue in the future to ensure a greener, cleaner, and healthier environment for coming generations.
At the end of the event, participants reaffirmed their commitment to the protection and proper care of the newly planted saplings.
