The Department of Biotechnology at Women University Mardan successfully conducted its 3rd Board of Studies meeting on January 22, 2026, in the University’s Committee Room. The meeting was graced by esteemed external members including Prof. Dr. Fazal Akbar, Director, Center for Biotechnology and Microbiology, University of Swat; Prof. Dr. Hazir Rehman, Chairman Department of Microbiology, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan; and Dr. Gulab Fatima, Assistant Professor, Department of Hematology, Khyber Medical University, Peshawar. They were joined by internal members from Women University Mardan: Dr. Hina Jabeen (HOD, Biotechnology), Dr. Neelam Zeb (Assistant Professor, Biotechnology), Dr. Mariam Ahmad Mujtaba (Lecturer, Biotechnology), and Dr. Hira Bashir (HOD, Botany). The committee experts reviewed and offered valuable suggestions for the BS and M.Phil curricula, ultimately recommending the implementation of the new HEC curriculum beginning in the Fall 2026 semester.
