Five M.Phil Scholars Successfully Defend Their Theses in the Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry, Women University Mardan, successfully conducted the M.Phil Thesis Viva Voce Examination on 8 July 2026 under the supervision of Dr. Monazza Serwar. The viva examinations were evaluated by Prof. Dr. Saira Arif, Department of Chemistry, COMSATs, Islamabad as the External Examiner.

The M. Phil scholars Laiba, Javeria, Aimen, Omi Aimen, and Reishma Wajid successfully defended their research theses and qualified for the award of the M.Phil degree. The research focused on innovative materials with enhanced physicochemical properties for applications in sustainable energy technologies, photocatalysis, wastewater treatment, and pollutant degradation. The outcomes of these studies contribute to the advancement of sustainable technologies and offer promising solutions to contemporary energy and environmental challenges.

The Department expresses its sincere gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, for her continued support of research excellence. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Naila Zubair, Head of the Department of Chemistry, and Ms. Haleema Ikram, Director, Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB), for their valuable support in the successful conduct of the M.Phil thesis viva examinations.
