
Seminar on Countering Violent Extremism Held at Women University Mardan Bakhshali Campus
On April 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM, Women University Mardan Bakhshali Campus hosted a seminar focused on countering violent extremism. Organized by the Chief Proctor, Dr. Rashida Parveen, the event featured distinguished speakers from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Center of Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism (KPCVE), including Assistant Director Mr. Afaq Khan, Sub-Inspector Mr. Fukraz, and Lady Constable Ms. Mehak.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness among students and faculty about the threats posed by violent extremism and the importance of proactive measures to prevent its spread within educational institutions. The speakers provided valuable insights into recognizing signs of radicalization and emphasized the role of educational communities in fostering resilience against extremist ideologies.
In recognition of their contributions, Assistant Director Mr. Afaq Khan presented shields and certificates to Chief Proctor Dr. Rashida Parveen and faculty proctors Dr. Nelofar and Dr. Rani Begum. Chief Proctor expressed her gratitude to the guests for their informative session, highlighting the significance of such initiatives in empowering students with knowledge and awareness.
