Women University Mardan Convenes Third ASRB Meeting to Review MPhil Research Synopses

Mardan, April 08, 2026: Women University Mardan convened a meeting of its Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) under the chairpersonship of Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Razia Sultana.
During the meeting, a total of 51 MPhil research synopses were presented, including 08 from the Department of Human Nutrition, 20 from the Department of Political Science, and 23 from the Department of Botany. The synopses were formally presented by the Director ASRB, Ms. Haleema Ikram, and were comprehensively reviewed and deliberated upon by the board members.


The meeting was attended by eminent external experts, including Dr. Etezaz Ahmad, Dr. Gulraiz Akhtar, and Dr. Afzal Bhatti from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad; Dr. Farhat Jabeen from University of Faisalabad; Dr. Rubi Bilal from Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar; and Engr. Falak Niaz from Directorate of Science and Technology Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing the participants, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Razia Sultana, commended the faculty, researchers, and the ASRB Directorate for their dedicated efforts in fostering a robust research environment within the university. She emphasized the pivotal role of quality research in addressing contemporary societal challenges and contributing to national academic and scientific development.
The meeting concluded with the approval of the presented MPhil research synopses, along with recommendations aimed at further enhancing research quality. The proceedings reflect the University’s continued commitment to strengthening higher education and advancing research excellence.
